Together We Ride
Together We Ride is a program sponsored by Ability Alliance of West Alabama to address the need for transportation for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our community.
Supports provided:
Door to Door Transportation for people who wish to work, shop, volunteer and participate in our community. (Dial A Ride)
Transportation stipends for trips to participate in community activities.
Transportation grants to encourage transportation co-ops
Eligibility Requirements:
Proof of annual income which is not more than $24,000.00
If you do not receive services from AAWA, proof that a developmental disability occurred prior to age 22 or a summary may be provided by your healthcare service provider
Proof of significant difficulties in accessing city/county transportation resources
